We need a renaissance of wonder
We need a renaissance of wonder. We need to renew, in our hearts and in our souls, the deathless dream, the eternal poetry, the perennial sense that life is miracle and magic. — E. Merrill Root (1895-1973) American Writer

Kirk, their is so much about the state of this economy that is depressing right now. So much worry, so much stress, so much anticipation of bad. But within my circle of young friends (most of them just starting new families), I am discovering the mentality of “simplifying” instead of “downsizing”. There is a huge difference, if you look close enough. With the new mentality of simplifying, I am finding more and more of these friends handling the country’s “new normal” with a sense of peace, hope, and wonder. The change is being embraced and more folks are going with the flow of the change. It does so much for the spirit of the community.
I love this post. It’s fits perfectly with what I’ve been seeing in my immediate circle. The picture alone says so much.
