received and acted upon
In a past life I worked a bit with some ”youth treatment” programs. Today’s T4D was written on the walls of one of them as a reminder to the youth… that they were being taught true principles that could only help them if they were willing to internalize and operationalize them.
“I cannot save you; you cannot save me; we cannot save each other, only so far as we can persuade each other to received the truth, by teaching it.  When a man receives the truth he will be saved by it. He will be saved not merely because someone taught it to him, but because he received and acted upon it. ”

Just for fun I have inserted a picture of my lovely wife Rebecca Weisler below… actually I am doing an experiment to see how long it takes search engines to find this jpg and make it a part of their search results. Not that anyone will every actually read what I am writing on this low traffic page. Still if you do… let me know at kirk@kirkweisler.com

Great message, Kirk! I think many of us stop at the point of acting upon the received truth…

There is a permanent gap between what we know and what we do. One of life’s greatest challenges is shortening that gap and living according to the truth we already have. The catch is that living by what we already have opens up even more, which is an exciting adventure when you really think about it. I had a related message this week in my M-Power message. Keep sharing truth my friend!

Many of us struggle with the confidence of acting on what we know, for fear of failure I’m sure. What wonderful opportunties open up when we “face our giants” and push through that fear. There is even more confidence and success waiting on the other side than we could ever have imagined before.
